4th/5th classes

Apologies for the late post.

On Monday in class, we matched up vocabulary words from the book Ben and Me. They were slightly difficult and words many kids haven't heard much so we spent a bit of time discussing them and going through some examples. We then did a character trait diagram of Benjamin Franklin. This Diagram is shown on page 202 in the Orange Book.

**For homework I asked the students to make a character sketch of themselves. The Character sketch should be set up the same way that it is displayed on page 202.

Personal Character Trait Diagram Instructions:

1. On a single piece of construction paper draw or place a picture of yourself in the center of the page.

This has been an unusual week! I hope you all have enjoyed the snow and stayed warm!

The snow is supposed to return again this weekend, so I assume our Monday meeting is already up in the air. At this point I'd mainly like for the kids to stay on top of reading their book Ben and Me. We plan for everyone to have read through chapter 13.

If we do get to meet on Monday the plan is to teach in Lesson 18 and discuss the book.

Hello Parents,

I hope you are all enjoying your Monday! Being that we are out today I decided it would be fitting for the kids to do a review this week.

Please have your student work on Assessment 2 in the Orange book on page 106-108. This "Assessment" covers material from lessons 11-13. Please use this as a guide for what your student may need to work on.

Additionally please have your student read chapter 10-11 this week. We will go over discussion questions in class.

**Don't forget to have them study their spelling words!*

Today, except for the "CH" words on p. 97, we completed all of Day 1, while also reviewing Verbs. And we discussed Chap. 6&7 of Ben & Me.
